Based out of New York, Urban Skies creates music that pushes the boundaries of Latin Pop music influenced by World Music, Latin Pop, Flamenco and a touch of "Jazz."

Biography Mara’s journey as a an Actress and Singer/Songwriter began in New York City. She has performed in Europe, Japan and venues such as S.O.B’s, CAMI Hall, the Apollo Theater and the Savannah International Music Festival. She has performed with greats like Stevie Wonder, and has worked with the renowned Broadway musical directors Michael Dansicker, Kent Dash and choreographer Graciela Daniele.
Mara has also amassed a fast growing list of television, commercial, voice over, film, and theater credits appearing on All My Children and PBS. She enjoys a rich acting career, gracing the stages of some of New York’s most reputable off-Broadway theaters like The Public and Theater Row. She has also appeared in a number of independent films which include "The Wannabe”, - awarded Best Short in the HB0 Latino Film Festival and “Why We Wax” - which garnered many accolades on the film festival circuit. She was also a featured performer for Disney’s tribute to Chita Rivera.
Her CD of original music, “Open Windows” has been met with great enthusiasm and has received airplay on Break Through Radio and on Puerto Rico’s premier radio station - Radio Oro.
